Where Do BedBugs Hide?
I found out the hard way that Bed Bugs don't just live in furniture, bedsprings and bedmattresses. They also live in the floors and the walls.
While I'm living in a cluttered house, my bedroom don't have much furniture or clutter at all. I'm a minimalist and try to keep the bedroom as empty as possible, so I was initially baffled to where the bedbugs were hiding when my bed checked out okay. It wasn't until my brother sprayed underneath his air mattress one evening in his bedroom that I figured it out. After he sprayed the bottom of his areo bed, he sat on it for a while using his laptop before leaving the room. When he came back in, he saw more than a couple of bedbugs heading up the walls, which was parallel to where his air bed was.
Then it dawned on me: the bed bugs have been living underneath some of the floorboards which had small holes in between some of the gaps.

My brother had practically smoked out a bunch of them. So while the bed, furniture and clothes might be the most obvious places to look for bedbugs, they might be hiding in the floors as well.
If you have tile flooring, they can be hiding in between the tiles, underneath the tiles or in between where the walls and the floor meet. Our bedbug problem didn't start to decline until I started sealing up gaps and small holes that I found in between my wood floor tiles.
